A newly built Quick Quack Car Wash on Murrieta Hot Springs Road sold for $4.53 million to a private investor from South Korea, the Press Enterprise reported.

The 3,600-square-foot car wash at 39480 Murrieta Hot Springs Road sits on a one-acre parcel and was built in 2026. The sale is backed by a new 20-year absolute triple-net ground lease, meaning the tenant covers taxes, insurance and maintenance on top of rent.

Dustin Lee of JK Realtage Group represented the buyer, according to ConnectCRE. Austin Blodgett, senior vice president of investment sales at RealSource Group, and senior associate Jonathan Schiffer handled the seller's side. The sellers are two private Southern California-based developers.

The Murrieta deal was part of a two-property package. A companion Quick Quack Car Wash at 3605 Van Buren Blvd. in Riverside sold for $4.1 million to a Los Angeles-based investor, bringing the combined total to $8.63 million.

Neither location has opened yet.

"Both properties generated significant interest, but the ground-lease structure required careful buyer education," Blodgett told the Press Enterprise. "… In both cases, we secured local buyers with strong Inland Empire strategies and closed well before the locations opened for business."

No opening date for the Murrieta car wash has been announced.

Kohl's hiring 1,400 seasonal workers in Southern California

Kohl's is recruiting 1,400 temporary workers across Southern California for the holiday season, with openings at area stores and at distribution and e-fulfillment centers in the Inland Empire, the Press Enterprise reported.

In-store roles include truck unloader, stockroom associate, retail associate, beauty adviser and overnight stockroom worker. Hourly pay for store positions ranges from $17 to $24. Warehouse jobs pay $18 to nearly $27 an hour, with a $1.25 premium for overnight shifts.
