Riverside County health inspectors ordered Jade China at 40982 California Oaks Road to close on Friday, Sept. 25, citing improper sanitization and hygiene.

The closure appeared in the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health's weekly report covering Sept. 24 through Oct. 1, as first reported by the Press Enterprise. Jade China was the only Murrieta restaurant on the countywide list for that period.

The department did not specify which sanitation or hygiene standards the restaurant failed to meet. No county health official commented publicly on the closure.

Four other Inland Empire restaurants also landed on the Sept. 24–Oct. 1 list. Three Beaumont locations, Ono Hawaiian BBQ, Panera Bread and Pieology, closed for lack of power and reopened Monday, Sept. 28. A Cinnabon at the Promenade in Temecula closed for plumbing in disrepair and reopened Tuesday, Sept. 29.

All four resolved their violations within days. Jade China's status has not been updated.

The county publishes reopening status updates in the following week's report. Until that update, it is unclear whether Jade China has been cleared to serve customers again.

Residents can check a restaurant's inspection history through the county's environmental health portal.
