Vista Murrieta's boys water polo program swept San Jacinto at the Frosh, JV and Varsity levels during the week of Sept. 7–12, and golfer Wren Saithong fired a 38 to lead the Broncos against Ayala.
The two results topped a busy stretch for six Vista Murrieta fall sports programs, according to the school's official athletics recap posted Sunday, Sept. 13.
Boys water polo
All three Bronco squads beat San Jacinto. It was a clean sweep. Coach Schiavone's program picked up wins at every level, giving the Broncos momentum heading deeper into the fall schedule.
Girls golf
Saithong posted the team-low round of 38 in the match against Ayala, pacing a Vista Murrieta squad coached by Coach Heise. No other individual scores were available in the school's recap.
Girls tennis
Both JV and Varsity swept Redlands East Valley. Varsity picked up a second win against Linfield Christian, giving Coach Spitler's program an unbeaten week.
Girls flag football
JV and Varsity combined for a 1-2 record during the regular week. In a separate tournament, the squad went 0-4 against opponents projected to finish near the top of the division. The athletics department said the team was placed in a higher division than originally planned, calling the experience valuable as the Broncos prepare for league play.
Girls volleyball
The JV team finished 3-3 at the Freeway Tournament, picking up wins over Chino, Elsinore and Rialto. Coach Taitano's squad split six matches in the event.

Flag football enters league play next, and several other Bronco programs continue nonleague schedules across the Inland Empire.
