More than 80 vendors will fill Monteleone Meadows on Nov. 13 to connect Murrieta-area veterans with jobs, services and community organizations.
State Sen. Kelly Seyarto announced the free annual Veterans Expo, set for Friday, Nov. 13, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 35245 Briggs Road. The event is open to veterans, their families and the general public, according to Seyarto's senate office.
Vendors will include businesses with open positions, nonprofit groups and government agencies offering resources for veterans, the announcement said. The expo is free to attend and does not require registration.
In a letter posted to his District 32 website on Oct. 14, Seyarto called the expo an important tradition in the community and said he is proud to keep hosting an event that connects veterans and their families with the resources they have earned.
The expo lands in a city with an outsized veteran population. About 7,400 Murrieta residents hold veteran status, roughly 9.1 percent of the population, according to 2024 American Community Survey estimates from the Census Bureau. That rate is nearly double the 5 percent figure across the Riverside-San Bernardino metro area and more than double California's 4 percent statewide rate. About 5,800 of those veterans are male and roughly 1,600 are female, the data show.
Patch also covered the announcement, noting Seyarto said the event gives veterans a chance to explore employment and support organizations in one place.
Seyarto, a Republican who represents Senate District 32, has a local office at 24640 Jefferson Ave., Suite 202, in Murrieta. His office can be reached at (916) 651-4032.
