Loma Linda University Medical Center Murrieta administrator Jonathan Jean-Marie has been named to Becker's Hospital Review's "240 Community Hospital CEOs to Know" list for 2026.
The recognition is the third national honor for the Murrieta hospital in 2026, following a top maternity care rating and a fifth straight patient safety grade.
Jean-Marie, senior vice president and administrator at the medical center, has led the facility since May 2021, according to a Loma Linda University Health announcement. He oversees emergency services, surgical services and maternity care.
Becker's Hospital Review compiled the list based on nominations and editorial research. The publication described the 240 honorees as leaders who prioritize expanding primary care, specialty treatments, rehabilitation and public health programs beyond acute care. Leaders cannot pay for inclusion.
"I'm incredibly proud of what we're building together for the families and visitors to our Southwest Riverside County region," Jean-Marie said in the announcement.
The Becker's nod follows two other national distinctions. The facility earned U.S. News & World Report's "Best Hospital for Maternity Care" designation for 2026, an upgrade from a "high-performing" ranking in 2025. U.S. News evaluated roughly 900 hospitals nationwide that submitted maternity data, according to the health system. The rating measured C-section rates in lower-risk pregnancies, newborn complication rates and breastfeeding rates, among other factors.
The hospital also earned its fifth consecutive "A" patient safety grade from the Leapfrog Group in spring 2026, according to a separate announcement. The Leapfrog Group is an independent watchdog organization that grades hospitals on more than 30 measures of errors, infections and patient harm.
Jean-Marie, a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, has also been steering physical expansion at the Murrieta campus. A 15-bed inpatient expansion project funded through Loma Linda University Health's $310 million Stronger Together campaign is underway on the third, fourth and fifth floors, with an estimated timeline of about 14 months.
As we reported Oct. 19, the health system also announced a new 24/7 advanced urgent care facility at 35100 Makena Ave. That facility is set to open in spring 2027.
